Ok, just looked on Pelican parts. Looks like they are only replaceable on certain years and "not" on my 2004 X5 3.0

Looks like my only option is to replace the whole COP.

X5 3.0i (2001 thru September 2002)
X5 4.4i (2000-03)
X5 4.6is (2002-03)
