Girls!, girls!... you're both pretty...

No, remote starts are not as environmentally friendly as just getting in and driving. They also just add more wear and tear on your engine...

I also don't think it's a horrible atrocity to the environment to install one on your car as long as you use it in a non-lazy-as-shit manner. It was 5 degrees here in Columbus Ohio yesterday morning. NEGATIVE 5 with the wind chill. I would have loved to be able to start the car up for a couple minutes to take the edge off before heading to work.

In the summer I don't think I would ever use it... Everyone knows you can press and hold the unlock button on your key fob for a couple seconds and it will roll all of your windows down to let the heat out before you get in right!? Dead of winter is a different story though...

Would I get a remote start on my car if I didn't have other things to worry about first? You bet your sweet ass I would... But I truly don't know that I would use it much...

But if we are going to get on our high horses then lets all explain why we aren't driving a Toyota Prius, Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, or the plethora of other more fuel efficient cars on the market...

On this topic, I just feel its about responsible use and I don't see a problem with it. Just don't be one of those guys using their remote start every day year round because "it's cool"

If you want to attack someone for their environmentally unfriendly vehicle, then go yell at those needle dick coal rollers first...

Now kiss and make up!
