At least we all share the same ball joints.

I can't follow that one easily, but wanted to follow up on the solution.
Removed the steering knuckle. OMG that was not easy! My Harbor Freight ball joint separator did not open enough to get the control arm ball joint off. So used my fork and tore the boot. Lucky me... So steering knuckle out I drilled out the bolt exactly in the center and only got 2 threads to come out. I don't know where the term easy out came from, but nothing got easy!
Took it over to my friend. He refinished Triumph TR4 and TR6 and some Spitfires. I thought who better to retap a rusted on bolt! 1 hour later one thread came out. So he drilled it out with an O size index. Threaded it 3/8" coarse thread. Put the bolt on with an impact...."it's either going to hold or not. Let's see!" It held and it was done. I'll be getting new tires and back on the road.... can't wait.
Any good suggestions for mud and snow tires?
