Only one shop in the area can get a replacement for me, and only new. My other tires are at a ~6/10th tread depth, so about ~50% worn. If I replace just the one am I going to run into any risk of harming the AWD system, or is this a tolerable variance? |
I think that difference is out of spec. If I were in your shoes I would not run a brand new one. I would search for a used one on Ebay that is much closer in tread depth.

Also tirerack can shave tires. You could have a new one shaved down to match your other 3.
