I believed I was using Canbus LEDs but I will double check. A little off topic but just this week sorted out an ABS dash light in my 2000 4Runner. As it turns out the incandescent burnt out bulb initiated it in the brain circuit and I changed it to an LED which did not draw any amperage enough to tell the brain that the light was operable. Went back to an incandescent bulb and the ABS dash light is gone!
On topic for our X, it appears that the lighting brain adjusts the voltage being fed to the lights to be a steady 12V so as to prolong bulb life! Truly getting very smart!
