Ok, so everything is working now! After a bit of reading through the Bentley I realized that I had the window switch assembly unplugged last night when I was trying out the rebuilt lock cylinder in the door. It was dark and I was tired and didn't think about it. But, after going out and hooking everything up it works as it all should! Huge relief!
So we now have two working keys and the roll down feature works great, as do all the other functions of the keys, lights and central locking system.
Hindsight being 20/20, I would have re-synced the good key right after taking possession of the car and this all would have never happened! Many lessons learned.
