I hear you on the rain, I work and flew into the rain in OC yesterday! Too bad I am just seeing this as I am departing SoCal out of LA otherwise I would have stopped by to lend a hand. It is imperative to remove the electronic modules in the well below the spare tire. Since it appears that you have nav equipped vehicle, the radio module is in there, PDC if equipped, Sirius module if equipped, tow module if equipped and air suspension if equipped. You MUST get all of the water out, remove power from any submerged module and dry them out ASAP. During the flooding rains that we had in CO a few years ago, my car was outside at my office and I was victim to shrunken sunroof drains which flooded the electronics wells. I was able to remove, disassemble, thoroughly dry and save all modules with the exception of my Bluetooth ULF which I had to replace. It depends upon how much water in fact came in, check for sunroof drain issues (clogged or shrunken/disconnected) as well and check the wells behind the side panels in the rear as the radio amp may have been partially submerged; mine was.
