1. I did not disconnect the battery for my install (others may choose to do so and that's fine).
2. I went into my Nav display to set which items I wanted to have displayed when I press the BC button on the turn signal stalk. More importantly, eliminating what I did NOT want to see. I also reset some parameters, MPG, etc.
3. I never used the immobilizer code so that was no factor for me.
4. I don't know if this matters (I do not have factory DSP), but I set a modest low volume on the volume knob of the factory Nav unit. I have more than adequate volume available to me with the Eonon. I think I've only had it to about #14 on volume and that was plenty for me. Don't ask me what the highest number is but the slider looks like about 30 is max.

Thanks Mike, Looks like my system is fairly similar to yours - DVD in the left rear, BM54 in the battery tray, no DSP- so I will follow your methodology. My only worry would be if the immobiliser gets set off for any reason how to reset it but I guess ( hope ) that's fairly unlikely. Cheers Phil.
