I've been trying to screw up the courage to sell my '05 X5 4.8is for a couple of months now, but excuses to put off putting it on the market keep coming up. Maybe it is that this is one of 3 X5s that I've owned and by far the best driving (the others were an '08 4.8i sport and a '13 5.0). I've also had 2 X3s and several of those car things BMW builds. And I have a '16 Durango R/T for my work vehicle.

The Dodge has the advantage of being newish and company owned, so I don't have to care much about it. And that is good, because even though I spec'ed it, I don't care much for it. It has some Hemi noise, but feels heavy and the handling just doesn't come close to the BMW X's. I really notice when the roads are wet (not enough snow this year to evaluate that), although tires are probably contributing to my butt-sense.

Point being, if that was your trade option, I'd think long and hard about ways to keep the X5 or find another one in newer or lower mileage condition.
