I think it's do-able but I haven't been able to. I think the problem is that there are country and safety "batch" codes that seem to over-ride getting the angel eyes on as DRL's. I think if you get the combination right though that it can be done. I hope someone else chimes in with the answer!
Activating the the high or low beams as DRL's though should be a lot easier.
