Bought some chain at my local Home Depot and used my old Harbor Freight spring compressor. Talk about scary handling this spring like this. Anyways, got the spring in and put a jack under the lower wishbone and propped here as if a wheel was on there. Then tightened everything down. I need to do the passenger side as far as releasing the tension on the bushings and this project is done.
My initial issue was the dreaded sqeek noise. Replace carrier bushings, same noise. Replaced lower control arm, same noise. Replaced the upper control arm, BINGO, no more sqeek.
