When you say "
but nothing however it is searching"... tell us "what" device is searching...your iPhone or your BMW?
Is your X5 3.0 optioned with Bluetooth? Did it come with the premium pkg or BMW ASSIST? Or are you asking how to pair because you have the PK number off the Bluetooth TCU (or ULF) unit that you can see when you open the rear left cargo compartment door?
Do you have the MID or the Nav screen set-up?

I hope you don't take my questions the wrong way...its just that we can't see or know what you have, plus there's multiple threads going with some info in that thread and some in this one. Just trying to see and figure out what you have (or may not have) so that we can be of help.
