Don't mean to be crass. But the only way in the wide-whirrled I could drive this thing is to have saved to fix it. If you or anyone else is more resourceful, great. But from the information here, I have to suggest that this- or any BMW- is not the rt place rt now. Maybe sometime soon!

Thanks for the input - I didn't find it crass at all but honest assessment.
Had I not found that unplugging the servo motor would allow RWD only I likely would have just walked away. However, I did and feel it's a interim solution to having the vehicle available even though I'm upside down from a financial perspective. That'll have to be addressed in the future.
