I believe 2015 (or was it 2016) was the LAST DVD map updates in the North American market for the MK IV nav CPU used in the e38/e39/e46/e53 models. Map updates for that generation BMWs has ceased and will no longer be supported. I guess BMW is saying its time to trade-up.

I found my last two DVD map updates on eBay (or was it Amazon.com?)...and neither set cost more than $20:
