At 60,000 mile and any reasonable care of the engine the timing guides/chains should be good for at least another 40,000 miles. I think you have a good plan unless you have any timing guide failure symptoms.

I'm at 118,000+ miles, lots of engine mods and no symptoms. Only precaution I have taken is to replace the original design chain tensioner with the new design and somewhere around 115,000 miles I pulled the oil pan to check for timing guide pieces.
