Bricked TRSVC Module??
Hi,
I've been working on an RFK to TRSVC camera retrofit (I had a correctly working RFK camera except for it being in Black & White with my NBT EVO display) and have everything installed and the old module removed from the X5 (2008 4.8i).
I can't get the new TRSVC module (bought used off eBay Part# 9291386) to work correctly. Also, the PDC button blinks on/off when in reverse and there is no picture on the screen from the RV camera, although the camera controls are on the left side, and the PDC is working like normal (other than the blinking LED above the button). So the module is being seen by the system...
I have coded the various modules with the new FA (tried $3AG but then the both the RFK & TRSVC modules show in ISTA+) with $3AH and have the TRSVC module correctly reported in the tree in ISTA+... The module reports its info (part number, SW etc) correctly but I can't access, test it or reset it. I also can't read or write it in NCS, just as a another data point. I can access all of the other modules in the X5 and perform any type of diagnostics without any issues.
I've verified all of the wiring and power to the new TRSVC module several times, and since the module is seen in ISTA+ and reports its info correctly I believe the CAN connections are working OK.
Could the mdoule be "bricked" or damaged in some way so as to not work correctly? This seems very odd to me...
I have another TRSVC module on the way tomorrow (Part # 9236527) and will try to replace the first module with the new used one and see what the results are.
Will report back.
Any ideas/suggestions?
What modules should I have coded?
(I've coded CAS, FRM, IHKA, JBFF, PDC & KOMBI with the new FA)
Thanks,
John
