Without a pic...I'm not getting exactly what you're referring to...but did you look up the front door trim diagram to see if the part you inquired about is sold separately?
You don't have to depend on the dealership to determine things that can be found using the part database. You can do your research first, find what you need, then shop using the 11 digit BMW part nbr (based on your VIN) online or order from your local dealership's parts department.
Click the link below if you see the part you need in the diagram...then scroll down the part nbr index (that will be below the illustration) and look for the correct color or other supplemental data that works for your vehicle. You can then take that info directly to the Parts Dept at your BMW dealership and have them order it for you. (have the last 7 digits of your VIN ready so that they can verify that you're ordering the correct part).
