It is the catalytic converters. The rotten egg smell (sulphur) comes from unburnt fuel in the converters. It can be from overfueling, or from a failing catalytic converter. The eventual failure mode is likely to be plugging.

I would get the converters checked. Whatever the warranty period, emissions components have different warranty terms (a federal requirement). Take it to a dealer.
