I can tell you, the parts are very similar other than the fit is slightly out on the febi, but if you are clever with the door screw and the gaskets you can get them to fit really nicely. Also I would change the cable out of the old carrier and switch it with the new. It is very likely the cable and ball is fine and its just the carrier bracket that has just broken. The original cable and ball clipped on to the febi part and then made it easier to fit as it was already curved to fit in the shape.
Good luck, btw, have some spare plastic door card fixings (white ones) as I broke a couple in getting the door card out and the job took me an hour. Beware the air bag also!

I ordered new gaskets for the handle, and a set, 10 I think, of new door clips. I plan to disconnect the battery first thing, then take the airbag all the way out when it comes time. That should give plenty of time for the brain to go to sleep and not throw any codes when everything is reconnected.
I think next time I will try the FEBI, I just thought that for the first round I would eliminate some of the possible issues with fit. It all sounds quite easy from behind the computer screen.
