On a rebuild, you get new seals, new friction material. You HOPE there are no worn parts that didnt come in the rebuild kit. You HOPE the shop did a good job cleaning the debris from the last failure.

Exactly. The shop sent the transmission back and they pulled off a classic: "I wasn't here so they gave you the wrong one, here is the one we promised". And i doubt this transmission was ever opened. The transmission now shifts generally normal but it still kicks sometimes when going in reverse and when coming to a stop, what are the odds of 3 transmissions doing the same exact pattern? Could there be something the shop has screwed up?

I also noticed that the fan stopped coming on now even after the car gets hot, the AC was barely blowing any air in, so that's the first thing to check as nothing will last without the cooling system working properly.
