Ard, that is HARSH. So I didn't provide as many details as you may have liked about my engine failure. I was in a bind and doing the best I could and the most I was getting was, "sounds like you're getting screwed, or take it to another shop or call BMW America". I think one member may have asked for more details, which I didn't have or couldn't prove that the dealership did something wrong either way! I did talk with a lawyer who told me what I was already thinking, that without proof there was nothing I could do. So I contacted the owner of the dealership and they meet me over half way on the cost of the new engine. I felt it was the best I was going to get so I went with it seeing that my wife needs the car for work. I hope this satisfies your curiosity and makes up for the loss of your precious time and stress of worrying about my issue! There are also other circumstances sometimes in people's lives that may cause them to react in particular ways that you may not be privy to, such as health issues!
