For whatever reason I could not power the camera successfully using the power to the backup lights. I forget what I metered it at, but it was below battery voltage. The rest of my charging system is fine, and everything works on the truck. Then I connected the camera lead to the canbus wire which is where they recommended anyhow, and it has been great since.
