Just did the intake sensor on mine today - same symptoms, code, stalling, low on power, etc.
Mostly follow the DIY. I wanted to add two improvements, but I can't reply to the thread (I guess it's too old).
1) you don't need to remove the oil line.
2) when you unplug the old sensor, tape a 2ft long piece of wire to it, and use that chaser wire to pull the new sensor wire back down. Otherwise, you'll have a helluva time fishing the new sensor wire back down to the connector.

P.S. - I've had bad luck with aftermarket replacement sensors lasting only a few months so this is one part where I opt for the BMW part even though it's like $40 more.
