Fuse doesn't pop for no reason. Most likely they might have installed the battery backward and when they realized this they reverse the battery, but the damage was already done. My neighbor installed a battery backward in his Rolls Royce and pop the amp shunt module. Car wouldn't start and I help him remove the amp shunt module. This was on a 1979 Silver Shadow.
