I negotiated a $0 deductible for automation dealers/$100 for any dealer. So that I could take it to the BMW dealer closest to my house (nearest auto-nation BMW is about 50 miles away). Its a 3yr/36K mile warranty that covers everything on the car except infotainment, hybrid batteries (not really a concern) and by exclusion certain wear items like brake pad, wiper blades, etc. I believe I paid $2995 for the warranty on my 2011.
Honestly I've had only 1 minor issue with the car which was a CCV house that crumbled, and I just bought another one from the dealer (before I found it was covered by BMW recall) it was $68. Oh and a burned out angel eye bulb which I replaced myself for $7.
I also had bad turbo coolant lines replaced by the dealer, another minor repair.
There is not a CCP to my knowledge on the X5 M's. The CCP only applies to the N63 engines. However, BMW has extended the warranty on injectors on the S63 to 12yr/120K miles. Mine has had all the injectors replaced under warranty before I purchased the car. I think at 38K miles. It also had the park plugs changed at 30K miles, which is handy.
I'm not familiar with DMI? If you mean performed maintenance and repairs, I got that from my service advisor which is why I knew what work had been performed/when on injectors etc.
Nope not had the airbags done. Same deal on my 335d as well. Last I checked with the dealer they had a replacement, but put a stop install on the M airbags due to a defect so where back on hold for replacements (but this was in July).
BTW I do plan to change all of my lower end fluids over the winter (too hot now). The Xfer case, front and rear diffs, transmission. Mainly due to age not milage. Plus I want to keep after them as I use this as a tow vehicle (its my company car).

Thanks for the reply! Good to know, DMI, dealer maintains, or what you said performed maintenance, same thing. I know mine has had the drive shaft done under warranty recently as well as coil packs is what's listed on the carfax.
Carfax isn't the most reliable and this particular one spent time in Canada.
First thing on my list today is to go to the dealer so I can get a more complete list of repairs and service history.
Try setting an appointment for bags and injectors if needed and als order another key as I only have one, plus get the missing key deleted out of the system. This will be a company rig for me as well!
I love the 335D!! My buddy has one and it's as fast or faster then my E36 M3, not as much fun but an awesome car!
My E53 (2006 4.4) only has 44k on the clock but it sat for years before I bought it, I did diff fluids as well. Lucky for me I have a buddy who owns his own shop (bmw mainly) and is a bmw master tech so I got to be there for the diff service.
Both front and rear had more fluid come out then you could put in.
The rear looked great! The front was darker and looked like it was neglected.
That being said if I remember right, I think is listed as lifetime and the other at like 100k. Could be wrong but either way I know I ether called for service but I am glad I did it!
When I financed this they said they couldn't find anyone who offers a warranty for this car, I don't know if I can get it 3rd party from another dealer but I'll check around.
As far as I know there is no CCP, I just said that as most X5 owners are familiar with it and the injectors and fuel pumps are one of the larger items on the CCP so it's kinda the same but not, it is 100% related though.
I am curious to see what BMW will tell me today, I have two dealerships to choose from here and know a bunch of people in the car world here as well so hopefully I won't have any issues.
Did yours come with a hitch or did you add it? If you added it what parts did you use and how does it look, cost, tow rating? I'd like to add one to mine but I really love the way her butt looks!
I just found a wrecked E53 4.8is with tow package at a local wrecking yard and got everything for $85!!! module/harness/hitch/bumper core! Haha! They had no idea! Did the install in my drive way in about 1.5 hours, beer included!
Thanks again for the reply, there aren't a lot of X5M owners around to talk to about their experiences so any input is greatly appreciated! 🍻
