Use the hidden menu to pull up the coolant temp in place of the odometer. It should get to about 90c and stay there. The problem is the "gauge" on the dash isn't. It's effectively an idiot light in the form of a needle. When the thermostat soft fails it won't seal tight and let's some coolant flow through the radiator and the engine won't heat properly.

It could be other things of course but start with making sure the engine heats to proper operating temps.
