Hey Everyone!
I'm posting my Stratus Gray 3.0 6MT 2006 E53 X5 for sale. After a while of E53 ownership, I've decided that I want to move on to something else. That being said, the car is in great shape since it's been in my care. I've also done some mods to the X5 that are listed in the mod list below.
Prior to my ownership, the previous owner replaced the transfer case with a brand new unit from BMW (replaced at 110,000 miles). This was done to troubleshoot a vibration issue with the vehicle, which later turned out to be the inner CV joints on the front axles. The front axles were replaced by me after coming to this conclusion, and the vibration subsided. Oil changes have been done methodically with BMW 5W-30 every 5-6k miles. When I acquisitioned it in March 2016 with 111,000 miles, the following maintenance items were done:
-Transfer case replaced
-Rear differential main seal replaced
-Front brake calipers replaced
-New front and rear Brembo slotted rotors
-Every suspension bushing on the car replaced with Powerflex Polyurethane
-Transmission fluid replaced
-Front and rear differential fluid replaced
-Shifter linkage refreshed (ECS Tuning E53 shifter refresh kit)
-Both front axles replaced
-Dead pixels on gauge cluster and radio display repaired

ASKING price: $
SOLD!
I realize that the asking price is in line / maybe more expensive than some 4.8is examples out there. That being said, the M54 is a motor that can run for a very long time if cared for properly, and the manual gearbox is a lot of fun to drive (especially with the tire and suspension combo on the car). The maintenance up to this point has been spot on. I think that this is a pretty unique example of the car, especially with all of the work that has been done to it, but as such the price is OBO.
Car has been detailed and paint corrected professionally by me, and is currently showing a paint depth of between 112-117 nano meters on average from panel to panel (factory paint thickness was between 117-122 nano meters)
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks for looking!
