That's a great tip, I didn't think of it! I still think removing the unit may allow for more room to fit your hand in there and feed the cable into the glovebox however.
But then again, I haven't seen how much room is available with the navigation unit left in and the vents removed. Maybe there is enough room to fit a hand in there?
