another thing...the three lights might also indicate an issue with the transfer case actuator. this is a common thing on these cars...in most cases it's not the actuator that goes bad, but the plastic gear inside it; costs about 70-90$ on ebay, pretty easy to change and lots of youtube diy for this. sometimes it might present symptoms, sometimes it might not...so it's good to scan and see what codes you pull from the car
