It just so happens that this morning when I was pulling my boat out of the river I had the same problem happened to me.

A loud bang from the rear and no drive I've had a look underneath and both shafts are loose inthe diff centre.. the centre seems to completely snapped insideand is loose in the housing.

Everyone else seems to be closed over the holiday season and I really need to get the car back on the road does anyone know wegher an e53 30d diff is the same??? I kmow the later x drive models are different with the electronic rear diff... but maybe early ones are the same lol?

I guess the torque from a tuned diesel really does i't lol
