Truck runs rough at startup and at various times during a drive.

Cleared code and it returned a day or two later.

Went to swap coils and found #2 coil/plug "well" with oil in it. Cleaned coil, and plug (it was oily at the threads but could have become that way when removed ... also noticed a bit of smoke at startup which is unusual so perhaps some oil entered the combustion chamber at that time as well).

I swapped coil 2 and 3 but kept the plug arrangement the same.

I will check results after a few days of driving.

Question: what are the possible causes of the the oil in the coil/plug well? I know that I mis-poured some oil recently and #2 is below the oil cap so I suppose that is a possibility. Could the oil have "seeped" upwards from the plug? (Bentley shows 18 ft/lbs for plugs. Is this correct? I would like to think I am pretty good with my favorite torque wrench). Could there be a crack in the well that allowed oil to enter from above?

Again these are anticipatory questions to aid in subsequent testing. All help appreciated.
