While on the topic of the extension harness mine is proving ultra annoying, and I dont like what may be my next job (pulling the interior apart to rerun the cable!). So the issue;

Currently I am getting interference through the speakers. This is only when the car is running and changes pitch with engine rpm. As a quick test I pulled the head unit out and plugged it directly into the amplifier in the boot (translation: Trunk ) and all is good with no interference.

I severally dislike the idea of re running the extension harness and was wondering if anyone else has any ideas / short cuts? I tried installing a powerline filter at the headunit on the main power, https://www.jaycar.co.nz/10a-dc-nois...roved/p/AA3074 however did not make any difference.
