I had the issue a while ago, so my memory is not great on how exactly that connection attached BUT I do remember, the first time I put that back together in that exact spot I didn't pay close attention and didn't realize you MUST put the cable attachment in that location a particular orientation and then rotate it to "lock" it in place. I had to take it all apart and do it again when I realized after playing with the old parts.
I'm not sure if that's what you're experiencing, but I'd be VERY suspicious it is, the location you have the zip tie is exactly the locking connection that isn't obvious unless you really study it and pay close attention. You will think the cable is in correctly, but it's not locked. it WILL lock if you do it right.
