Hi Ard,
Yes I'm getting 2 keys. I'm not sure why bmwvin has replacement key listed as an option.. I think it does this for every code reading. I've looked at probably 20 and all of them had an option for additional key.
Thanks for the congrats. Looking at x5s and dealing with shady salesman was definitely testing my patience.
The x5 I bought is in good shape but there are a few small issues the dealer will be addressing (and I have written into our agreement) before I take possession of the truck. From looking at the truck, I could tell it was likely used by the typical "soccer mom" for hauling the kids around to practice, the mall, etc. I was fortunate enough (maybe?) to get to the dealer to look at the x5 almost the day after they took it in on trade so they literally had not done a thing to it when I saw it. It was in it's typical "going to be traded" filth, including muddy seat backs and cheerios and what looked like chocolate milk all over the back seat...LOL I'm fine with that though, as there were no rips in the seats or excessive wear, or any major body issues and the dealer will detail it before I pick it up. One thing the dealer agreed to is to refinish all the rims as all of them had some curb rash and they're also going to check the alignment for me as on the PO's carproof there were 4 service records related to the tires and alignment, which was no surprise given the curb rash.
Cheers
