I have a 2011 35d and I want to change the headlight bulbs (D1S) and fog light bulbs (H11). I've read numerous threads concerning this but often the question is never fully answered or method confirmed. I found nothing on YouTube for the E70 facelift, LCI vehicles.

The best I can tell, the D1S Xenon low/high beam bulbs can be changed by removing the wheel/tire combo and wheel well liners. I also read that that may not work for diesel E70s, though, due to the DEF tank on the right side.

The only reference for the fog lights say that you remove the plastic grill beneath them but on my X5, the fog lights are more to the centerline of the vehicle and there is no grill below them. In that case, it seems that the entire bumper cover must be removed to get to the bulbs which seems insane.

So for a late model-year 2011 X5 xDrive35d (LCI, post-facelift), how do I gain access to and replace the D1S Xenon headlight and H11 fog light bulbs?
