So I want to thank all who chimed in on this thread!

I called my brick and mortar parts dept and he looked up the part - $387.50 per spring!

My indy searched for used parts but could find none.

He wound up ordering from BMW (took a couple of days to arrive ugh) but he cut forty bucks from each spring!

Now there is a standup guy!

He installed both sides without changing the shocks...and charged me for a couple of bolts.

Car is running great again for $1,150!

Now I am tackling the onerous Passenger restraint failure and stupid DPF issues!!
