Crowz will become famous soon enough
First thing I do when I buy a vehicle is find a forum that covers it.

If I like the vehicle enough I join the forum.

If I enjoy talking about the vehicle I stay.

If I like the people AND enjoy the vehicle I participate and try to make friends, help others and have a good time.

ALL of the forums I have been a member on have those that have a canned "Use the search" or other not particularly enticing to new member types. I try each time to just answer the questions if I know the answer or work with the person find the answer if I don't know the answer.

The way I look at it with the use the search types is if that was a good answer then why not just close all forums after they have been open for a few years since everything has been asked at least once before. What fun would that be.

That engagement a new member gets with getting his question answered by a member is what makes them feel welcome and makes them want to stay and help if they can later. Telling everyone to just search for the answer is about as welcoming as slamming the door in their face.

On the income level part.. I could care less if your rich or poor as long as your someone that enjoys the vehicles the forum is about.

I find the money challenged to be a bit more hands on with their rides and thus far more knowledgeable about how to actually work on their cars. If you need to send your vehicle to an indy or a dealership all the time I kind of pity you since your missing out on a very fun part of owning the vehicle. But to each their own.
