Just a bit of advice I gave a friend of mine.

Never buy a bmw that isn't running.

1. You don't know if the motor is any good.

2. You don't know if the trans is good.

3. You don't know if the rest of the drivetrain etc is good.

4. You don't know if all of 1 thru 3 is an issue or worse.

That said my friend didn't listen to me (he hardly ever does).

He bought a 2005 bmw 528i 2 years ago. Its still sitting in the spot the wrecker left it at 2 years ago. Its supposed to have key issues.

I have been telling him I told you so for 2 years now.

Just something to throw out there.
