HPFP Failure at 77K!
My wife's X5 had been experiencing extended crank times for a few months now. First replaced the battery, seemed marginally better, then the dreaded reduced output engine warning light came on last week. It's a 2011 N55 engine and the SA says it's not covered by the recall. Called BMWNA to see if they would assist in the matter and it's looking like they will not... My contention being it's a premature failure, not even 80K on the clock. The dealer quoted $1050 to replace it. How refreshing would it be to see a company (BMW) stand behind it's workmanship???
