You’re completely wrong. The X5M and the 5.0 m package are two completely different trucks. Both share the same body(e70) and many little bits, but that’s about it. The motor, drive train, suspension, headlights, bumpers, fenders, exhaust, pretty much everything is different...

The 5.0 has the n63 motor. If you are going to buy one, you better make sure it’s had the BMW Preferred Package done. That means the motor has been pulled out and they have done things like timing chains, valve seals, etc... These motors can be good IF they were maintained right(oil change every 10k-regardless of what you read or hear anywhere else). If these things haven’t been done, they are a ticking time bomb...
