I did the downgrade to V26/upgrade to V27, which caused my unit to switch into a default mode. "Accept" screen is gone, and short distances are in yards.

Why do I need to have the dealer recode my system? What is missing, other than the accept screen and having the distances in yards? Have I lost some other functionality in the process that I should care about?
