On Amazon, I have found a lead that connects to my iPod Classic via the large socket on the bottom edge of the iPod and has a jack plug that connects to the AUX socket and another that connects to a 12v socket to keep the iPod charged. They say (in the ad) that the sound quality when connected via the large connector is better than when connected from the headphone socket. For £5.99 and free postage, it has to be worth a try...... I have just ordered it, so will update on the results when I get it.
