I put a set of these in the upper brake light housing. I noticed that the standard bulb in that location is melting and has deformed the plastic on the tail light housing. Makes you wonder if BMW actually test anything they design. They seem to have failures that other manufactures overcame in 1969.

Anyway, my reasoning for changing the bulbs out is hopefully the LEDs are a little easier on the wimpy electrical system and just maybe my tail light housings wont melt. I think I have just about every bulb in that car replaced now minus the HIDs.
