1) If you plan on upgrading the stereo system, don't bother with the Icelink on the X5 IMO.

2) Pretty sure you need two.

3) Not sure why you're mentioning the 530xi, but anyway, depends on what you want out of the stereo (highs/lows/mids) what are you looking for in the sound system?
