I have a 2006 (build date 12/05) and I do NOT have sport seats...and fell under the recall and got a new lower cushion which contained a new mat sensor from BMW a few years ago.
If you haven't registered your contact info with BMW USA....then they wouldn't have a way to send you recall notification. You may want to got to the
www.bmwusa.com and register your VIN and address.
You can also call the toll free number listed in your owners manual and other docs in the binder (or google it) and speak directly with a customer service rep...especially if you local dealer looks at you as if you have a 3rd eye in the middle of your forehead when you aske them about it.
