My X has clear bra that the previous had installed over a decade ago. By paint correction, I'm basically going to have it detailed that includes wash, clay wax in addition to having the minor scuffs, scratches and other forms of imperfections removed. It's quite common actually. My X is pretty pampered considering how others use theirs so I think the paint correction will be worth it for the summer.

I'll look into the maintenance items you suggested
as far as the paint goes, I'll just leave it as is, I put on
approx 6,000 miles a year traveling to ski areas in the
Northeast, lots of salt and sand so any paint corrections
would quickly be lost.
Note: I don't run the 214 wheels in the winter, dedicated
Pirelli scorpions on 18" 87's do pretty good in snow and ice.
