It all depends on the phone(android / IOS version), and your ulf module version:

For example, i've replaced mine with and 8th gen version, but have tested it has the disconnect problem with android 7 and 8. i've got it to work installing a LineageOS Rom, but of course, it's needed a bit knowledge on mobile flashing....
Another options i've seen while i was looking for a solution, was
upgrading your ULF to a gen13, wich is supposed to works with any new phone, adding a dension/yatour or parrot interface, or upgrading with a newer unit, like a dynavin o something like.
