Our first BMW, so quite excited (and anxious). It has about 95,000kms (60,000miles?)

1. How reliable are the n52 engines for the long haul? (200,000kms and over)
2. How reliable are the air suspension? What tips to keep it problem free?
3. Any electronics issues that can be prevented through early interventions?
4. It has the Sport Suspension. Is this supposed to be a stronger suspension?
5. Does the panoramic roof disturb (leaks, jamming, etc.. after a long period of use?).
6. There is the rear-DVD screen thingy in the middle. I don't like it. Can it just be easily removed from the car?

Thank you!

#2. Check the Posts about Rear Air Springs - with age and high KM these will sooner or later will start to leak - not an expensive repair and an easy DIY work.

I will suggest to:

- Check if the WaterPump has been replaced, that is a likely part to fail (especially if it has >10 years already). If it fails, you could be stranded and there is an overheating risk which can be costly. This is a very important item, more than anything else. Get familiar with the warning symptoms and the error messages that will appear when fails.

- Check Cooling System; is the original radiator still on? hoses? these could be preventive or to keep an eye on.

- Battery - again, on a 2007, it should have been replaced already.

- I assume you have replaced fluids (Oil, Coolant)

- If you have not or can't confirm if it has been done, Brake Fluid could be long overdue - this one is better to do @ Dealer or reputable shop as it has specific steps to be performed.

Enjoy the car and note that several of the above items are expected regular maintenance items (with the exception the WaterPump)
