I only towed my old 2400lb tent trailer a couple of times, but it seemed fine without trailer brakes. I'd only worry if you have a long downhill stretch. I have also towed my 3000lb camper a.couple of times without brakes and it's alright as long as you're not going downhill. I might worry if there's a lot of downhill. At 2150lbs you should be fine. Make sure to try to drain the water tanks before each trip.
