That's good info. Exactly what I was hoping you had been toying around with. I'm not too picky on tone just now, I want to get the thing rolling again.


I just have some cheapy ebay headers mocked up on the block. My inner environmentalist is making me get some cats on it, and I am looking for some very short-bodied units I can weld straight to the collector merges of the headers (chop off the rest). But since I have the entire system off, I was thinking about replacing the midpipe, particularly since my homemade header + cats will not "bolt right up" to the factory midpipe.


For now, I think I can put the Borla in and make up my own stainless midsection, flange it to the headers and leave the back section alone. Eventually I think I would try magnaflows or something in the rear position.


Your electronically actuated valves are interesting. I assume internally the bodies are straight through vs. internally muffled?
